How fees work. On Launch, StoreBaze's platform fee depends on the currency of the sale, not where your business is based: 1.5% + US$0.30 on a sale in US dollars, 1.5% + CA$0.45 on a sale in Canadian dollars. A US$50 order costs US$1.05; a CA$50 order costs CA$1.20. On Scale there is no platform fee. Card payments go into your own Stripe account, and Stripe's payment processing fees, charged there on both plans, are separate from StoreBaze's.

When you sign up, you answer a few questions about your business: what you sell, your brand vibe, and what the main button on your home page should do. StoreBaze AI picks one of four themes and writes your home, about, FAQ, and contact pages. You see a preview first, then accept it, or skip it and pick a theme yourself. Everything stays editable afterward. Later, in the page builder, you can describe a section in plain words and StoreBaze AI builds it, then refine it by chatting (this uses AI credits).

Yes. Launch is $0/month — it is not a trial, and you don't need a credit card to create your store. StoreBaze only earns when you do: a platform fee on each card sale of 1.5% + US$0.30 on a sale in US dollars, or 1.5% + CA$0.45 on a sale in Canadian dollars. Stripe's payment processing fees apply separately.
On Launch, there is no monthly fee and a StoreBaze platform fee on each card sale. It depends on the currency of the sale, not where your business is based: 1.5% + US$0.30 on a sale in US dollars, 1.5% + CA$0.45 on a sale in Canadian dollars. Your store sells in the currency you choose when you sign up (CAD or USD). On Scale (CA$99 or US$79 a month, billed monthly) the platform fee is 0%. On both plans Stripe charges its own payment processing fees to your Stripe account, separately from StoreBaze's. There are no setup fees, and you can move between plans from Billing.
When the platform fee you pay on Launch adds up to more than Scale's monthly price, or when you need more room: Scale includes up to 5,000 products (Launch: 250), 1.5M AI credits every month (Launch: 900K for your first 30 days) and 10,000 marketing emails a month (Launch: 1,500). Both plans include the same core commerce features.
AI credits power StoreBaze AI in your store editor. Launch includes 900K AI credits for your first 30 days; they don't renew, and your store stays free to run after they're used or expire. Scale includes 1.5M AI credits every month while your subscription is paid; unused credits don't carry over. On either plan you can add an AI Pack: 900K AI credits for CA$15 (US$10), a one-time purchase valid for 30 days. The AI design of your storefront at sign-up doesn't use credits.
Credit and debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, processed by Stripe and paid into your own Stripe account — plus cash on pickup or delivery if you offer it.
StoreBaze currently fulfils orders through pickup and local delivery. Add one or more pickup locations, each with its own address and opening hours, and offer delivery within a radius you set, with your own delivery fee and an optional order amount above which delivery is free. You can also let customers choose a delivery time window. Customers pay by card at checkout or, if you accept it, in cash on pickup or delivery.
StoreBaze calculates it at checkout. You add each Canadian province or US state where you collect tax, with its rate, its label (such as GST or HST) and your registration number. Delivered orders are taxed for the delivery address and pickup orders for the pickup location. Registering for, filing and remitting tax stay your responsibility.
